My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don't over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.

On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.

The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!

Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.

Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.

Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!

what i do, is eat an about normal breakfast and about 2-3 hours later i eat a yogurt or fruit. At lunch I have my biggest meal, something liked baked or grilled chicken or fish (tilapia works best) or something that isn't too greasy or fatning, 2-3 hours later i have a jello or snackpack at at night for dinner i eat a large bowl of ceral. I personally like honey nut cheerios but practically anthing that isnt too sugary or is made from whole grain wheat. Also, every 2-3 days i try to work out a little more than usual. I'll go for a long walk with my dogs or hits some weights in the yard or just go for a walk on my own or friend. Nothing too drastic that changes my life too much or makes me ache too much. As time goes by, you can up the amount of weight or length of walks or swims but no hurry.

Oh yeah, drink water when not working out or just during the day. Perferably a full gallon throughout the day. When you do work out, drink either fitness water or something with minimal sugar in it. if you can, sweat throughout the day. Take the stairs even if you work on the first floor. Take a flight or two up the stairs and then down. Park on the far side of the parking lot (as long as you have light enough if you leave work at night), do more housework or chores or take up a hobby like gardening or lawn work.

To lose weight, a person has to reduce the calorie intake by some amount by modifying their diet. A diet without sufficient nutrients will only increase the appetite of the person trying to lose weight. Since most people combine a diet with an exercise plan, additional nutrients are required for the growth of muscles required to increase the metabolic rate required for long term weight loss. Good question, I'm planning on losing around 30lbs over the next few months, but for you to lose even a few pounds in a short period of time? Hmmm, personally I would limit carbs, eat salads, fruit and drink nothing but water and the main thing, plenty and plenty of exercise, go to the gym or jog, whatever works up a sweat, and do it often.

Limit these foods to just once a week, try to not eat them until then: cheeses, sodas, sweet treats, fast foods, fried foods. Instead eat more yogurts, fruits, veggies, subway, weight watchers meals, healthy choice, etc.
Cut your portions in half at night and limit your time of eating to 7-7:30 PM.
Walking every day (except for one day, take a day off) will speed your weight loss. You'll need to walk for a minimum of 30 min. as your body starts to burn fat after 20, the ideal to work up to is an hour of fast walking. Hope some of this helps....

Honestly just start by eating smaller portions of your food. Try to exercise at least 3 times a week for 20 minutes each time to start. You will loose a couple of pounds just by doing these things! Also if you eat breakfast that will speed up your metabolism. If you snack lightly all day long this will keep your body burning fat also.

Hey,

You need to get on a diet and start getting in more exercise and make it a habit. In order to lose weight you must burn more calories then you eat.

So eat low calorie healthy meals and find a way to be active if its at the gym or out playing sports or walking with friends.

Also very important is motivation without it you will surely fail! you need to be motivated and dedicated in anything you do.

Success is a habit!
