YES!! Everytime I try to go shopping for myself I end up buying a whole bunch of things for my daughter. I guess when you're a parent, at least me, you just prefer to buy things for your children!

hey hun....im not sure what you mean by better?...better as in nicer looking or more expincive?...either way i concider it better as far as looks go and yes i do dress my child better then me most time cause lets face it ladies...kids clothes are a dime a dozen in the right stores (Walmart, Family Dollar to name a few) and you can get 2 and 3 piece outfitts for $6 to $10 bucks and the size is almost always accurate for all the brands...as for trying to find clothes in an adult size you wont find and 2 piece sets for $10 and the sizes almost always vary from each brand...i realized the big price swing when i bought 5 outfits for my little girl and tried to buy a bra and shirt and they costed the same price! and this was at Walmart people lol!...so i guess the reason we dress our kids better or buy them more clothes is cause it's easier, cheaper and more convinent....love daisy

I have 3 children and all 3 dress better than I do. I think this is because it is easier to shop for their clothes as it goes by size and for me it is harder to try clothes on and it is even harder for me to take clothes back if they do not fit. I also believe that it is bad to dress better than your kids as to me it shows that you care more about yourself then your children.

Definitely! The kids have to have newer clothes based almost exclusively on the fact that they grow! Unfortunately, when funds are limited- guess who gets the new clothes... That's right- the kids. Since I tend to grow the slowest (except for packing on the pounds when pregnant), I get the least amount of new clothes.

Oh yes. I recently treated myself to a full outfit though, after 6 years of wearing the same jeans. I buy the kids new clothes all of the time. I enjoy buying for them more than buying for myself.

YES, and YES. My children were ALWAYS dressed better than me. AND it has continued into teenage years.
I bought myself a new outfit at Sam's Club. It cost me less than $30. My son got a new pair of jeans and it cost me $45.

Oh the sacrifices we do!! LOL

no, he looks just as rough as i do. i believe in comfort. besides, i'm not going to dress my baby in some starchy, over priced, uncomfortable clothing just so he looks cute. i'm not playing into all that 'beauty is the most important' crap that the media pushes on us. i didn't give birth to him so he can win a fashion contest. the way your children are dress has nothing to do with your ability to be a great parent.

My parents do dress me better then them selves. .... i dunno I'm not happy about that. when I'm well on my way to becoming a successful business woman. I'll repay. they work hard to give me the things that they couldn't have as kids. when im older i just want to repay em, make em retire. my parents have done more then enough for me
