Well I dunno.

God's children have a hard time in life. Period.

We are supposed to struggle more because through struggling we learn who we are, and also how to ask for help from him.

Its all a lesson really.

I wouldn't say God has favorites, more like chosen ones who he choses to do his bidding.

But he loves us all the same.

If you feel like you are having a hard time, ask God to show you why. And be persistant.

He does want us to be passionate and persistant about what we ask for.

Your answer is found in a hilarious and often insightful play by Neil Simon, oddly enough entitled "God's Favorite." I think you'd enjoy it.

I'm not sure that I would agree though. Without any intent of sarcasm or pessimism, anyone with strong principles has a hard time in life. The strongest moral principle is matyrdom.

Not God's favorites...but those who choose to have God as their best Friend will have a hard time in life. Not because of God, but because of Satan, who doesn't want you to love God. That's why we have a hard time. And also, they are a test of our faith. But if we trust in Jesus, He'll give us the strength to live through those problems! :-)

I had never thought of this idea, but perhaps you are right. Or, our information is incomplete because not everything that ever happened is written in the Bible. But, one scripture stands out to me in thinking about this. "Jesus endured the cross, despising the shame, for the joy that was set before Him." There is not doubt whatsoever that Jesus was God's favorite.
