They believe that because we, as a nation, have raised their husbands to demi-god status, that they are better than we ordinary mortals.
What they fail to understand is that Footballers, like the rest of us, are only doing the job they are paid to do. And paid way too much in my opinion.

I'm not sure if 'classy' is the correct word. They are being ostentatious to display their wealth.
If there was ever one true epithet, and that is that you can't buy class. This is where the chav empire has fallen apart, thinking that Burberry and Gold Jewellery will lend them class. A penniless person can have class, while a person with vast amounts of moeny can have no class at all. Class cannot be bought, it's inherent.
Dolly Parton, who always displayed the steroeotypical female Country and Western singer was fully aware of the ostentatious nature of her appearance, and often said in a very insighful way, "You can't believe how much it has cost to look this cheap."

That is so true. They can but the old mannor house etc. But money can't buy you class or breeding. Margaret Thatcher was the same. That why she spoke so slow afraid the old vowels would slip out. But if you remember she had funny walk Margaret. She modelled herself on the queen. The handbag etc.

Their wives seem to be classy because they been there and done that so they already know what a hood rat is like so they want wifey material. besides who wouldnt want a classy wife?

Is that what it is, pretending? Sounds like the Nascar bunch, [but these are slightly more plump, from all the turkey fryers]. After the boob jobs, face lifts & traveling, the wind burn kind of makes them look that way, sort of "stuck on themselves".

One is born with class, it cannot be bought by footballers wife's or otherwise, humble beginnings or not some people are born with class.

Frankly I don't think they are classy. They just have more money than their peers, not class. Money can't buy class. Shopping does not need class, it needs money.
I see their husbands spitting in the field. That's not classy.
