I think that they are right. They are realizing that everything Bush has said is a lie, and the people that have voted them into office are requiring more. This war was started on a false promise and continued on a lie.

Hooray, finally someone has the guts to stand up against Bush and speak against Bush's war on terrorism as well as the war in Iraq.
I for one say it's about time and I hope it's not to late to do something about it now. These who have spoke up should and do know more about war then any Bush will ever know because they have been in war and the military and we all know that Bush has not seen any of either.
So why not believe them when they speak up against Bush as we all know that Bush is not there for the good of any country but only there for the good of the all mighty Bush pocket book and this makes most good Americans ashamed too.
I only wish that these "military experts" would have found their back bones months and even years ago so that many innocents would not have died for (forgive me for this next statement as I don't mean it the way it sounds) but no nothing other then to give Bush more oil for his profits. As for all the innocents who gave their lives for this war I praise them with all my heart and wish that they had not been forced to give up their lives as they were only doing what they were forced to do which orders came down from Bush himself and again I for one am so ashamed of our government for putting us all in so much danger and for all the dealths that Bush has caused too for each and every country involved.
Yes, I commend those military experts for speaking up against Bush and I truly hope it does a lot of good now too.
Bush is a coward from the get go and he will never change for the better either because he has so much money and power that he puts it all to the worst use possible and to think that he could some day be impeached along with his vice president would be a dream come true for the whole world.

The Iraq war has been incompetently run from about 4 weeks after it started. The initial attack showed the strength of our military and the advantages of training, technology, and commitment of our troops.
After that it generally has gone down the tube due to ill-considered decisions. It was never going to be easy, but it's been mismanaged, nplanned, with more talk than thought going into most everything. These errors are almost exclusively at the higher levels, not the grunt troops.
It is certainly right for people with actual combat experience (not W or Cheney for sure) and less ego invested in things to stand up and voice their opinions. That is the American way.

Well.... we have 2 choices.

1. We can pull out now, let the different factions go to civil war (mainly the shiites and the sunnis) and sweeping in to help them rebuild and be mediator therefore looking like the good guy.

-or-

2. We can stay there playing peacekeeper w/ professional killers and conductors of war. Afterall, that is what a fully trained soldier is by definition. They will still have their civil war which will throw us in the middle. Many of both them and us will die. Then we look like the instigators (which in reality we are), the muslim world turns on us (again) and the hatred turns on us.

It's the presidents choice. Personally I think he'll take option 2 and **** us all off in the process. However; all things considered those really are our only two choices.

Well lets see, 8 of 11 recently retired Generals have spoken out against Rumsfield's war plan and the direction which Bush/Cheney
have placed our country in. Bush's going into Iraq was wrong wrong wrong. Now they tell us we are building 14 air bases in Iraq and an Embassy the size of the Vatican. Do you think Bush has plans to leave? He is a Moron.

Well being a Nam Vet myself, I can say honestly that JOHN McCAIN, should be tried for treason, and shot. he should have died in the Nam. He has changed his colors more than a box of crayons! the damn turn-coat. He only votes for whats popular at the time, not what he believes in. Does not do anything for vets, even though he is one. And for Powell, he did sell us the war in Iraq, now has the guts to stand firmly-against-it. he should be FIRMLY-HUNG for treason as well. As far as the rest you mentioned, they should all swing from the same rope in my opinion. Their actions make me ashamed to say they are amongst this nations leaders. I would rather Osama in office than ANY of them. at least he has the balls to confess his crimes, and stands for one-thing, not the most poular thing at any given time. Even though Osama needs to hang with the rest of them. You know what really gets me? Is McCain was a P.O.W., like myself, and he has not done CHIT for vets anywhere, in any-way-shape-or-form. We are the last ones on his agenda, That little chit! I wish his hole family had one-neck and my hands were around it! I'm to pissed to type anything else. But I'm sure you get the picture. On one side you have men and women who have served and fought in the military and on the other a pack of people who didn't led by a man whose military background consists for the most part of being AWOL if not deserting. Pick the group whose advice about military matters you would follow.

I think that if Colin Powell is speaking up, then Bush is wrong! We have no right complaining that Cuba and China have human rights abuses when we torture prisioners.
