Because the gap wedge that Nike's current blades are 53 degrees. Each gap wedge is manufacturer specific and while 52 degrees is the more common there is no rule. Nike has made and there are Nike 52 degree GAp wedges available perhaps not the model you want though.

Dunno, got a Nike NDS Sand Wedge though. Would love to find a Nike 60 degree lob wedge. I love my lob wedge. 50 yards and in?!!? Right to the flag, hit one today!!!
