Particularly for my 10-year-old daughter - I want to get it NOW before she asks when they're all sold out!

There's a new game called Dream Life by Hasbro.
It's a tv plug-in game.
Girls can choose friends, hairstyles, clothing, and they can even decorate their virtual room!
There's another game - Mall Madness. I think girls like that game!
MP3 player & the I-dog
Twister Dance dvd game
Bratz Rock Angelz Dolls
Barbies
Polly Pockets
Littlest Pet Shops
(although I think she's getting too old for bratz/barbie dolls?)
plasma ball
it's hard to say .. it's a tough age, they're in between little kid stuff and preteen stuff!

Only toys I have a real feeling about are TJ Beary Tales, the new Dora The Explorer doll, The Fairy Wishes, and Fisher Price's Fp3 player.
But these are not for a 10 year olds. They are into clothes, MP3 Players, and music.
A good gift would be an Ipod Nano..or an Ipod shuffle, and a gift card for music from itunes.
Actually, for a 10 year old girl, a gift card to Best Buy might be a winner. They have Music, Movies, Software programs, MP3 Players of all stripes.
Hmm..it is really too early to tell what the hot toys will be...watching the toy commercials on Saturday morning might give some hints.

Ooohh.... Furby Rules!!
Its terribly cute.. and perfect for that age.
Tamagotchi is probably its closest ancestor, but definitely ledd features, and more inanimate.
And then there's baby annabelle --if she's still into dolls.
BEWARE tho -- all the above have a tendency to get you falling for them more than your daughter!!!

Those are all toys for younger children. At her age she should start being into pre-teen things.
