I have great major depression after moving from ca. to oregon. I guess that I left alot of friends for 30 to 38 years and I feel lonesome. I quit drinking alcohol in 1991 feb 18 and I am in recovery for nearly 16 years and I guess caused me to have a chemical imbalance...I also take ativan if I get to ansy as I am trying to quit smoking and I am 10 days free from cigarettes.

No, it's not. Everyone's different and sometimes it takes a combination of antidepressants to get you feeling better. The Lexapro is a low dose. If you feel like you are overmedicated (with these two you probably won't), talk to your doctor and see if you can gradually discontinue one of them, but those doses do not appear worrisome. The Ativan I presume you take PRN. Just try to keep those to a minimum. Also, the Wellbutrin may help you stay away from the cigarettes.
Good luck!

Get out and meet some new people, make some new friends and still make an effort to keep in touch with your 'old' friends. (The Yahoo 360 is a great way to do that!)

Not sure what your question was, but if it is about compining those two prescriptions, be on the safe side and check with your dr or pharmacist . WEB MD is great oo but I couldn't find much about combining prescriptions.

Good - Stay off the Alcohol, join a uspport group for that if you need to. And I am SO PROUD of you for quitting smoking! I smoked for 10 years, quit 15+ years ago and I am SO GLAD that I did!

Good Luck to You!

I was told that 300mg is a standard dosage for Wellbutrin xl...I take it twice a day at 150mg at a time. I was also cautioned to take it 8-12 hrs a part because if you take the pills too close in proximity some people have seizures. Ive only been on it for a couple days.. Ive been on other things and I think it has the least side effects. Alot of antidepressants are metabolism inhibitors and cause sexual side affects and Wellbutrin does neither!

Look you have already stopped that was the hard part the first 7 days are the worst. Keep up the great work, it does get easier day by day I promise. Just remember how much money you are saving and every time that craving hits rather than eating get a puzzle book and do a puzzle. this will help you occupy your mind with something other then the smoking that you want to do. Good luck and keep up the great work. The meds that you are on will help keep you calm.

That's a lot of drugs for one person, plus the Ativan. You must feel pretty sleepy all the time. Congrats on the alcohol, and quitting smoking. Keep up with that. I understand depression as I'm a nurse, and fight with it myself. Just be careful, and see your therapist often. Very Good luck to you ~~~
