Absolutely - we were evolved eating fruit, vegetables, cereals and meat - we need the vitamins within them.
Processed foods have high fat, salt and sugar - none of which are good for us in the amounts they contain.
Get back on the real stuff, take plenty of water and if you cut out wheat and dairy you just might be suprised how amazing you feel.

It's always good to eat a healthy diet, but I think you need to look deeper than just diet to get to the bottom of your depression. A bad diet alone does not cause depression. Could it be that maybe you are a bit nervous about starting a new term in a new house away from home. Just relax and have another donut. Your depression will get better as you get used to your new surroundings. If it doesn't, there is no shame in seeking counseling.

Yes, my daughter struggles with depression. I started her on a good vitamin regimen that has seemed to help, a multivitamin, b6 and b12 and there is a lot of research that says the supplement st. johns wort really helps 3 pills a day. Also foods that are proven to help with depression are fresh fruits, nuts, and especially turkey and fish. The omega fish oils are supposed to help to. I hope this helps....

Yes, there's a connection -- you need proper levels of vitamins and amino acids or else you get depressed. There's a book on the subject called "The Mood Cure" by Julia Ross.

It relies upon how badly they have OCD. quite some human beings have it and cope high quality yet then some human beings have it so undesirable that they could't leave the abode because it's going to take hours of creating plans and issues might want to bypass incorrect and so on. psychological ailments are frequently appropriate to at least one yet another and someone with OCD might want to improve melancholy or develop into suicidal. each and every individual is diverse regardless of the reality that, and some can take care of their OCD and some can not.

DIET IS HUGE! I have experiemented with my diet, and found the same thing. Training my body to eat less and feel satisfied has helped.... eating healthy has helped as well.
Try it.... detox your body... lots of veggies and fruit juices (no glucose/fructose based juices! REAL juices) for a week, and see how you feel at the end. Whole grain bread....you can have that as well.
GOOD LUCK!

Definitely.
If you don't eat properly your sugar, for instance, will fluxuate, ESPECIALLY in times of high stress (like your first week back at university).
Exercise and proper diet... some basic things never change.

Stress is the problem. Drains the wind out of your sails.
Start out by doing simple stretches in your kitchen, such as squats, etc. Your body will slowly go back up again in attitude and life.
