There are websites you can checkout online and such.
but if you really want to good hairstyle before you cut your hair talk to the person that is cutting it.
I have gone to get cuts lots of times and now I talk to them and listen to their suggestions after all they do that everyday and went to school for it. They will listen and help you come up with a style that suits your looks and personality.

get layers around your face and layers through the last 4 inches of your hair. if the hair in front is very light you should get it toned to a caramel color! and add a few small caramel chunks through the rest so you change it a little bit more!! good luck!!
