I was diagnosed with this about 4 years ago. I understand it has no known cause and no cure. However, aside from a little numbness on the skin of my feet, I have NO symptoms. Can anyone tell me what to expect in future?

I have no underlying conditions, and I repeat, I have NO symptoms - including pain!

Peripheral neuropathies are often caused by underlying conditions, such as diabetes, vitamin deficiencies, etc. I am assuming your doctor checked for these underlying conditions. If it was idiopathic (meaning no known underlying cause), the future course of action is to simply treat and manage the pain it causes, while avoiding risk factors that can make it worse. There are numerous websites that talk about this, and your doctor can tell you more about how to manage the pain.

However, if your doctor has not checked you for diabetes, vitamin deficiencies, nerve pressure, autoimmune disorder, and all the other causes of P.N., I'd have him check it. If those underlying causes can be treated, you may not have to deal with the pain anymore.
