In the US, I think that radical Christians are MUCH MORE of a clear and present danger to our country than any radical Muslims. Christian 'Dominionists' (Reconstructionalists, Theonomists) have largely usurped the local level political apparatus of the Republican Party, and are engaged in a sub rosa process to politically motivate moderate Christians under the false cover of religious issues such as morality and family values. The goal is nothing less than the takeover of all elective offices in the USA.

Their doctrine comes from the Bible, starting with the term 'dominion' at Genesis 1:28... “And God said unto them, [Adam and Eve] Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; and have DOMINION… over every living thing.” They interpret DOMINION as: “... a supremacy in determining and directing the actions of others or in governing politically, socially, or personally.”

They want to remake the USA as a theocracy... and they are succeeding.

Its most common form, Dominionism, represents one of the most extreme forms of Fundamentalist Christianity thought. Its followers, called Dominionists, are attempting to convert the laws of United States so that they match those of the Hebrew Scriptures. They intend to achieve this by using the freedom of religion in the US to train a generation of children via home-schooling and in private Christian religious schools. Later, their graduates will be charged with the responsibility of creating a new Bible-based political, religious and social order. One of the first tasks of this order will be to eliminate religious choice and freedom. Their eventual goal is to achieve the "Kingdom of God" in which much of the world is converted to Christianity. They feel that the power of God's word will bring about this conversion. No armed force or insurrection will be needed; in fact, they believe that there will be little opposition to their plan. People will willingly accept it. All that needs to be done is to properly explain it to them.

All religious organizations, congregations etc. other than strictly Fundamentalist Christianity would be suppressed. Nonconforming Evangelical, main line and liberal Christian religious institutions would no longer be allowed to hold services, organize, proselytize, etc. Society would revert to the laws and punishments of the Hebrew Scriptures. Any person who advocated or practiced other religious beliefs outside of their home would be tried for idolatry and executed. Blasphemy, adultery and homosexual behavior would be criminalized; those found guilty would also be executed. There are two conservative Christian pastors in Texas who have advocated the execution of all Wiccans. Ralph Reed, the executive director of the conservative public policy group the Christian Coalition has criticized Reconstructionism as "an authoritarian ideology that threatens the most basic civil liberties of a free and democratic society."

By failing to openly confront this insidious agenda, we have sown the seeds of our own destruction, while these religious wing-nuts are paving the way to Armageddon with gleeful anticipation.

I think that the problem with Odonnell for saying that is because radical (single issued) Christians are not out there mudering in mass numbers out of pure hatred for anyone non Christian.

They do lose their way and get caught up in single mindedness toward a single issue and seem to fall away from the very God they Love, but not in a mass murdering frenzy such as the radical (single issued) Muslims are doing.

So, while they may be harmful to her sensibilities of comfort, they are certainly not out there plotting her murder and whomever may be around her. If that were the case Hollywood would have been suicide bombed many times over. She should really re think that thought.

You do not have to sign if you don't want. Any words expressed against anyone at this time may be put in a hot seat. Rosie O'donnell's remarks has some point that may have been considered politically incorrect but the only thing about it is that she has the responsibility to pick a better word that may not sound critical to anyone. She is among the professional tv personality that must help people from making judgment that is biased to her belief..

Here's the deal radical christians are convinced they are correct becuase of what their chuch leaders have been telling them. It does not surprize me someone views us as dangerous. Seems to me if you are actually a christian and not just some humans follower you would like to get to know God by reading the Word in oreder in privacy, and not just take parts out to justify what you already believe. The Bible reading will make you change.

These fanatic types are often (not always cuz real christians have been called fanatics long befor this) led and stirred up by someone who wants to use them. This is not new many wars have been fought by people thinking they were doing God's will. I know this sounds ridiculus but it is true.

If you really want to get to know God and judge these things rightly then read your Bible, get a translation you like and do it. You do not need someone else to tell you. If you have trouble pray and move on you do not have to get it all at once.

Here's the part that is unbelievable, In the Word it gives directions for being accountable, both for followers and leaders but nobody seems to know about them.. Wonder why?? Its cuz people have their own agendas like war.

What ever she might have said, remembered the characteristics of a true Christian. John 13:34-35 which state that a true christian must have love among themselves, John 4:24 who ever worshiped must worshiped the father with spirit and truth, Luke 6:37 which also that we must stop judging so that we are not judge. The most important question for you to reflect is this are they interfering with God requirement. Act 5:29- We must obey God as ruler rather then men.

The deviation in the stances comes mainly from scale. While no one disagrees (save for maybe those who would partake) that the bombings/shootings/burning of abortion clinics and it's workers are terrorist acts, the difference is that the numbers targeted are measured in dozens whereas the radical ttrangressions against the US by adical Islam are in the thousands wit the promise of more, larger attacks to come. While the sentiment may be the same, the sheer amount of damage and the randomness of the victims in the latter make it a comparison that many do not see as analagous.

I suppose it depends on Rosie's use of the term "radical." While I don't condone abortion clinic bombings and would certainly consider people who do to be radical, I DO condone having Biblically based beliefs that aren't necessarily popular in the American culture. My guess is that Rosie might not always agree with me there. It's stupid to sign petitions against ABC because of it though. For one, Christians are NOT a target audience in Rosie's demographics, so their impact in that respect wouldn't be that great. I doubt they'd boycott ABC altogether- isn't NBC simply 4th best? That puts ABC above them. :)

You have to remember Rosie will do anything to protect her lifestyle and since Christianity does speak out against homosexuality she views that as a threat and will lash out. On the other hand there have been a lot of evangelicals and charasmatics that have come close to being very disruptive. If I may offer some advise please keep your faith in Jesus. Lean more on what you have learned on your own and less on the organized portion of you faith (your church for example). It will make a world of difference.

I do not have a television either. Too easy for the enemy to use it to get a foot in the door.

If, by "radical Christians," Rosie means those who would kill in the Name of JESUS, then yes, I would agree. And there are some, unfortunately, who label themselves "Christians" but behave in ways that JESUS would never approve.

What I would define as "true CHRISTians," those who live as CHRIST-like as possible, would not parallel what Rosie calls "radical Muslims" who kill in the name of Allah. In that comparison, I would disagree with Rosie. It is like comparing apples to oranges.

Good question and GOD bless. (Throw out your TV. It will bring more peace in your life.)

I think anybody being a "radical" is harmful and wrong, but on the other hand, I don't know what this is about so i can't comment more. I am a christian also, I don't get to watch 'The View" anymore, I would love to know what the story is behind this.

A radical is a radical no matter what faith they are.
If you feel in your heart you are right then stick to your guns and don't back down. Doing so will only complicate things for yourself.
A "True Christian" would never take such a racial stand, and yes I said racial due to it not only has to do with the color of ones skin, but also ones own ideas.
Do what your heart tells you to do, and keep that inner peace you now have.
