As soon as she feels ready to. If she feels like it may be uncomfortable then she probably won't want to until she feels completely back to normal down there. Which takes a few weeks (in my case anyhow) but everyone is different.

6 to 8 weeks .depending on the lady.
but also there is a great possibility of another pregnancy straight after the birth.
why do you think Victorians had so many kids.

It is said to be between five and six weeks, but this is not held in tablets of stone, it is best left for the woman to decide. she knows her body and what she feels it can cope with, but she will need time to get over what is an extremely stressful experience.
