If what you say is true, I'm glad to be a slacker.

Your question is problematic, especially from a linguistic perspective. A goal is set by a conscious human being and consciousness implies life. Just because we go to a state that we call death does not mean that death is a goal. I suppose you can set death as a goal, and look for means to bring on this state, but that is a personal goal and you can't regard it as a universal goal, which is implied in your question.
Regarding death, it is veiled in mystery, though there's a scientific aspect, as well as a spiritual one that is associated with faith. If you happen to have faith, then you can set a goal to avoid death as our deeds determine our status after we die in this world. Otherwise you can't speak about death as a goal, because whether anyone likes it or not, we are all going to go through this thing called death. The word goal implies an aim that may not be achieved, whereas death is a certainty, and if there is certainty, then it is no longer a goal.

My ultimate goal is to live forever on a perfect earth filled with perfect people. If I die before I reach this goal, I know that God has the power over death and can resurrect me to live again. I do not worry. Think about it. God didn't put all this effort into his creation and the recording of the Bible so he could just have nothing in the end.

i think death can't be the end. there has to be an after life or you get reborn again. death isn't a goal but just something you have to work around to reach your goal. i also think that your destiny never ends. everyone is meant for something. if it doesn't happen in this life it will happen later on. death is the ending of one life and the beginning of the next.

"If a person's destiny ultimately ends in death then wouldn't that mean that death is a goal."
I understand what you're asking but the logic is flawed. Death is simply a fact, not a goal. Just because we all die doesn't mean it's our goal.
We all have to pay taxes too, but I don't think it's anyone's actual "goal".

Death is a milestone, no different from birth, walking, talking, graduation, etc. Every beginning comes from some other beginnings end. We will reach the "goal" of death in due time just like everything else. Death is as natural as breathing.

No. The goal is the journey itself, the end isn't the goal, just the destination.
If you take a drive from point A to point B, and have the choice between the straight route, and nothing but flat land all around you, or the scenic route, with interesting stops along the way, which route would you take, all other things equal?

Death is the end, not the journey to the end. What you learn on this journey is the knowledge you will carry with you into the next one, And may or may not determine what your next life will pertain to/be.
Then again Death is only of the physical, and NOT the soul.
The soul is eternal !!

Death is not the end, but the beginning of a new spiritual life and existance. This physical world we are in is just ONE place in ONE realm. The spiritual things NEVER die.

A person destiny does not end in death, if you are a Christain, it is only beginning, you have eternal life, but if you are not a Christin then it will end in the lake of fire to eventually end in total annilation & seperation from God.

There are a lot of Christians that do pray for death so that they can see the Lord quicker. Nothing to so with suicide, they just want to go home (heavenly home). I don't agree with it, even though I do want to meet my Lord one day, but He knows I have a lot of work to do here on earth before I go. Whenever it is it will be His will, then so be it.
