For a long time i felt like I was just settling and was staying with him cause i was comfortable. It wasn't until i came close to losing him that I realized what a great guy he is.

I am single right now. I would rather be happily involved with someone than just settling for someone that I don't truly love and care for. So I would rather be alone than settle to have a boyfriend or husband. I don't want marriage to ever be a mistake in my life.

I've settled for my current position. Single and without for over a year. Oh, I've been busy with school and friends. The more time I spend w/o someone, the better I am within. I just hope it doesn't backfire if and when I meet someone special. We get used to things being one way and then you have to adjust. Just wanted to throw that in.

I am happily married and have been for over a year.

happily involved....
but because we work at it. it's not perfect, we are not perfect. but i try Hard to be a Good Person, Woman, and Girlfriend...so i know that i treat him well, and what i deserve. as long as he proves and tries to be a Good Person, Man, and Boyfriend, i know our happiness can only grow, get better, there's so much scope for the future!! only when one of us gets lazy, or tired, bored, unreasonable, will we break down and stop and need to fix something. i need to be able to trust that he will always try to do what is best for US, and he needs to trust that of me as well. so the more we continue to work on ourselves, our attitudes, and use our LOVE to make us better partners, constantly learn about each other, and go out of our way to make each other happy, i know we can get through ANYTHING!! :)
we are together 9 months so far... at the 1 1/2 year mark, if either of us has doubts, we will break up. but if we are as strong, or stronger than we are now, i know we will get married!! he tried to bring it up after a huge fight we had, but i said not to talk about marriage til that mark. this is so we have ample time to get to know each other and test each other...at the end of that time, if we are unsure, we have to be strong and mature and love each other to let ourselves go. and if we are sure of our love, then we have to be strong and mature and love each other to commit forever. :)
