Qualifiers are good, arent they? ^_^
I absolutely hate absolute statements! *nods*
kidding ^_~ you make a very valid point.
If some people would insert "some" before making their statements, i'd give their intelligence a little more credibility..

For little of what you said I agree. However Muslims are taught from generation to generation to hate anyone that is not Muslim. They are generally hateful. No not every single one but most. Protestants don't hate the virgin Mary they revere her they just do not worship and pray to her. Why are atheists so angry because they have nothing to believe in. Christians are not stupid they are saved by the grace of God and want to share this with everyone. I think most of your question was a sweeping generalization. What is your problem with the world. I think you are just fed up with the world we live in. You know what so are Muslims and Protestants and atheists and Christians. As well as gays and people with AIDS and many many others. We should all try to get along but do you really see this as ever happening.

Humans are basically a herding animal. Contrary to your generalization, (i.e. No one) many people do choose be identified by the group with which they affiliate, look, for example, at the rigid standards of the Goth sub-culture. Add to this the fact that most people are basically lazy. It takes a lot of effort to get to know people as individuals, labels are quicker, check a few incidentals like skin color, money spent on clothes, regional accent, and you know who your friends are. No fuss, no bother. You should also bear in mind that there are no assholes in the first person (me/us), it is only in the second and third person (you/them) that anyone can be an asshole.

Good points.
It could be valid to ask -- "Why do SOME protestants hate the virgin Mary" or "Why do MANY protestants hate the virgin Mary"
(Note, I am a protestant, and I do not hate the virgin Mary).
Also valid to ask -- "Why are SOME Christians stupid? or "Why are MANY Christians Stupid?"... Note I am a Christian I have found the majority of Christians to NOT be stupid.
Also valid to ask -- "Why are SOME Atheists so angry?", or "Why are MANY Atheists so angry?" etc.
Cordially,
John

>>>No one likes to be lumped in one group with all the other assholes wearing the same label as them.<<<
Actually, it's not so bad.

Of course they know it's offensive. That's why they do it. Do yourself a favor, and report them, anonymously as often as you can, and don't forget to flag the thumbs down button.
If you won't do this, then just ignore the question. Statements like yours and the responsed they get just encourages the behavior.
Please!

I agree! There are always exceptions, so it's impossible to make a generalization of an entire group.
