Specifically American Airlines? I'm flying to take a cruise in 3 weeks (SFO to JFK) and normally I need to pay extra for addtional baggage.

they just waived it initially when people were not aware of these changes however now they wont allow this.

No, airlines are not waiving the EBC. The first few days they did because it was a sudden change...but now it has been out for a while and normal baggage rules apply. You can always check for updates on their website under baggage.

through experience i say that no they dont waive it but sometimes they do get a lil accommodating with passengers.
