My cat is full grown, at nearly a year old, but she's still as small as a kitten. She was the runt of the litter, but still, I think she should be bigger than she is. She looks like a 6 month old kitten. She has big ears, a little head, and a little body. Should I be worried about her, or is it normal for some cats to stay so tiny?

It is genetic mostly. The sizes of both parents account for the size of the kitten. There is also a factor of the health of the mother during pregnancy. If she was on good nutrition,it affects the makeup of the kittens,especially if the mother was malnourished.

I really don't think there's any such thing as being "part" munchkin. Munchkin cats are not a breed....well, they CAN be, but it's mostly a genetic deformity. If she were a Munchkin cat, she'd have very short legs, as well....she'd almost look like a dachsund version of a cat. Anyways, I say they can't be "part" because they either HAVE the genetic defect (making them a Munchkin period) or not (making them a normaly proportioned cat).
Here's a picture of a Munchkin cat;

That being said, it sounds like your cat is just on the smaller side. My queen is 3 years old, and it shocks people to find that out because she's quite small, as well. She's totally fine, just smaller boned....petite:)
Their nourishment in the womb and during the kitten years can play a huge role in the size they will be as adults. Since your cat was the runt of the litter, it's safe to say she got the least amount of nourishment in the womb, resulting in a smaller cat.

Every kind of animal has midgets, they are natural. Your should have been taking your cat to the vet throughout the year, so hopefully your vet would have said something if there was a problem. If your vet has not said anything next apointment for shots or whatever you should ask and see if there is anything you need to worry about. It doesn't sound like an emergency situation but midgets can have different medial problems than some other animals.
Most people would love to have their cats look like a kitten their whole life, I hope that everything is ok with your cat and that it lives a long happy life.

I had a sweet little cat named Spicey. I found her up a tree, crying and hungry and lost. I climbed up to rescue her. She was this tiny little blue and cream tortie with one green eye and one orange eye. She put her little arms around my neck while I climbed down(she didn't even dig in her claws). At first I thought she was a kitten about 4 months old but her eyes weren't blue. She was full grown but only weighed about 3 lbs. She was a half starved stray and I soon plumped her up but only her belly got big. I'm not sure how old she was when I found her but I had her for 12 years before she died of natural causes. So your little kitty will probably live a normal life. Enjoy her company.

I would call a vet. You don't need to bring her in for a checkup (although you should of been bringing her in over the course of the year, of course) but you could just ask to speak to a vet tech and they could explain the possible situation to you. When I first got my cat, I had a ton of questions, and had good luck doing this whenever I needed help with something.
p.s. i think it's every cat-owners dreams to have their kitten stay that size forever! ;-)
