Moses when he was up on the mount getting the ten commandments. Since any living man who sees the face of God will die God let Moses look upon his back after he passed by.

If you're looking it up this is what you'll find
Exodus
33:20 And he (God) said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.
33:21 And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock:
33:22 And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:
33:23 And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.
---- The purpose of this later visit was to be to add some small print to the Ten Commandments. When he turns up again it goes like this:
34:6 And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,
34:7 Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.
34:8 And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped.
------ If you ask me, Moses should have taken the chance and kicked the LORD as hard as he possibly could up his "back parts" and saved us all, our children, the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation, a lot of trouble.

Was it Moses? Some have answered Moses. But he did see him face to face. Kind of a trick question, it could also be Isaiah or Ezekiel, I'll have to check the OT on that one.

It was Moses, and he didn`t get to see his face, because God told him no one had seen him and lived, so God let him see his shadow as he passed by.

Adam and Eve apparently saw his face before the fall. It is said he would come down and walk with Adam and had talks with him.
