So back to the original question....?

Question

1) Given that most people don't really care what the Pope says or doesn't say.

2) Given that Muslims are by definition not Roman Catholic, most Muslims don't care about what the Pope says enough to follow the Pope's every speech.

How did all these Muslims find out so quickly about this particular speech? You'd think it would take a while for news of this to percolate through the Islamic community. Or are all Muslims busy text messaging each other every day about any little slight they happen to notice?

Isn't it interesting that when the Muslims liken the Pope to Hitler, there is no outcry, but insult any of their religious leaders and they want to kill everyone. All in the name of God, of course.

Some people care about what the Pope says because he's a prominent world leader. I personally don't give a flying **** about religion, but I follow the Pope's speeches because they have an effect on the world.

They obviously have become organized and then there is CNN world. They are not sitting alone out there in the desert. Many of them have studied their history and know at one time the Pope sent a bunch of invaders in the name of christianity to comit aggression upon land that had been theirs for a long time, and they know he did it for profit. He was a bad Pope. The Pope's since have never said sorry bout that, becuz they did not have to. It is time that christians all over put pressure on todays leaders to admit their error in persecuting Arabs. They do not have to pay them tribute but hey I do not like world inhabitants to think christians do not repent. As the catholic leader he needs to make a statement about the attrocities Christians have commited. There is no shortage of them.

They picked it up because in recent history they have been oppressed (do not take my word check it out) by country's who are occupied by the majority of christians and they are democracies.

If you do not like their reaction ask yourself why and check things out. Your news sources are deliberatly not telling you things you need to know. Watch the history channel, or LINK TV.

You want to change the world in a positive way, as a christian point out the scripture that calls for accountability of followers and of leaders and ask why are we not doing this, or better yet why have our leaders ignored this scripture (epistles to Tim, and Mat 18)

Man, ya know, youve got a hell of a point there....how ddid they find out so fast? Probably the same way they found out about the cartoons being published - it was REPUBLISHED in a muslim newspaper! Does seem strange that a populace who cares nothing for what he says takes so much offfense at what he said....

its just fuel for the fire, someone caught onto it and is trying to fire up the troops. Same thing as when a coach posts the opposing coach's comments in a newspaper in the locker room.

I'm searching for the right answer, and it seems we agree.
