This stuff happens in a culturally diverse nation. It happened to EVERY immigrant group coming into this nation going back 100's of years.
There is a frustration by MOST legal Americans, on the influx of legal and illegal immigrants into the US. Those who come here for opportunity and advancement get frustrated because more cheap labor means lower wages or job loss for them. Some feel culturally threatened by the presence of people who sometimes don't know the language or don't have a desire to assimilate into society. Some feel physically threatened (you fail to mention what happens to whites or asians when they enter predominantly latino neighborhoods).
In order to remain a solvent and cohesive nation, we have to share an identity. Is it a political identity? A cultural identity? A linguistic identity? A religious identity? The hodge-podge of Americans and legal aliens and illegal aliens causes stress when there is no common thread that unites us all.
It is not wise to treat people poorly simply for how they look. However, it is also not wise to let more and more people into the country when many of those people have no idea how America came to be, or what traditions and values support our strength and continuance as a Great Society.
I don't think illegal aliens are good for America. I think those who are here, need to be assimilated peacefully into society as Americans or legal aliens. I think, also, that new immigration should be put on hold, especially those who do not provide skilled labor or other inherent need in society. The low/no-skilled labor masses are sufficient today, and introducing more people on a slowly listing/sinking boat will not help the boat or the people in it.
America is for Americans, and we must remember that, first and foremost. Otherwise, ALL will suffer and feel pain.

Hate actually doesn't know a race, its like a wild fire it consumes everything in its path. The racists attack anything that doesn't look like them. They are narrow minded and usually ignorant. But there are some very smart people that are racist on both sides of the fence. At the end of my post I will give you a link to look at and you may be surprised at what you read.I sure was.No I do not approve of illegals from any country coming here and trying to demand rights that only legal Americans have. Its not fair to the people that wait years to come here the legal way.I don't hate any one race ,I cant that's stupid.but I am staunchly anti illegal. You can be anti illegal and not be a racists. Here's the link please look at it if you will

baby, that is the sad reality, and the fastest we aaccept that fact, the better for us, at least we know now that they ahte us when they are talking to us in our faces and smiling while behind their eyebrows they hate us, and they don't care wether you are citizen, illegal or legal, they just hate you because your skin color is darker, or because you don't speak english, or because you are catholic, or go figure why, everybody has a different reason, but the sad reality we must come to face is that we are hated. The US has had a long history of hate against foregners, since its very inception, they came looking for a world apart of anything different than them, an ideal "white man land" that has forgotten that there is a whole world around them with a lot of diversity. It seems to me that unfortunately they will not change in their life times so don't feel distressed, just becareful who you talk to or where you are, because race hate crimes against us are gonna be very high.
The simple and ineludible fact is that they feel better than us on account of their race, and if they don't tell you, always in the back of their minds they feel that way. is something that really distinguishes the USA as a country: Racism and racial animosity. But not everywhere is the same you know?

A great many immigrants today do not feel the need to assimilate. I emigrated over 20 years ago. I learned the language and tried to assimilate into the community, and learn more about the great heritage of this country. I left from unpleasant situation, but would never have dreamed of trying to implant in on this great country. I am legal, I was a political refugee.
Descendants of the Spaniards have a VERY BAD history of plunder and murder to overcome, far moreso than all other immigrant nationalities combined. Think of Cortes and Coronado. Even deVaca was incredibly arrogant to show up with some piece of paper, and telling the residents they were now on Spanish Ground, and subjects to the Spanish Throne.
The North Americans who built America came here with the hope of building a new life, not repeating the same errors that repressed them at home, and calling it heritage.

I don't know why some are so prejudiced against Mexicans or why some Mexicans are so prejudiced against us.
It isn't helpful.
We don't want the illegals of any nationality here, however, and the legal Mexicans are more than welcome to stay.
We limit how many poor can come because educating their children is expensive and takes school funding from our own children. Similar impacts hit health care. That isn't about race, at all. It is that their better life is at our expense, and they broke the law to put this burden on us.

The sad thing is that there will always be racism in the world. But you have to think about it! There are so many different ethnic groups living the United States that it isn't much of a shock that there are some cold-hearted people living in the nation. There are people dying everyday with some connection to racial differences. You are right, it's absurd how people just automatically suspect that all illegal immigrants are Mexican just because Mexico is right near southwest United States!

I don't think it's racism... I know plenty of nice Americans who are of Mexican decent. I think people who come from 3rd world countries might have different ideas about what's acceptable. Many who have moved to this area have had an extremely negative effect on the neighborhood.
BTW when you say native American do you mean "Indian" or do you mean someone born native to the country? I am not an immigrant(legal or illegal). Just always remember... if you came to America it was YOU who wanted the change, not the Americans.

a. I have nothing wrong with Mexicans as long as no crime, illegitimacy, or race-mixing occurs. (I personally don't agree with race-mixing.) It's just that most of the illegals (when you look at the nation as a whole- I know there are some places where illegal Asians build up communities) are "Latino", "Hispanic", or whatever you want to call them that came from Mexico. (Or they went THROUGH Mexico to come to the United States border.)
b. What about all of the White people killed and/or raped by illegals? What about the Blacks involved in gang/prison warfare with them? What about the people in the projects that can no longer work jobs that- although they are lower paying and menial- can give them some cash? (A quick way to stop giving them so much welfare.)
c. In case you haven't noticed, most neighborhoods usually have:
1. People of the same race with one or two exceptions.
2. People who have similar incomes.
3. People that speak the same language, act the same way, etc.
- When change starts coming, residents react. Sometimes it’s by leaving the area, while other times it’s by getting the new residents to move back to where they came from.
