It's higher in Hurricane season and drops off after that ends in early November, rises again around the Holidays, then drops back off after New Years until Hurricane season begins again.

I am not a sales rep for ANYONE, but I always call cruisebrothers.com. Their number is 800.827.7779. They have always had the best prices I have found. I learned of them in Budget Travel magazine. I have always had a really good experience with them, and they will help you to find a good price. I have been shopping cruises lately, and the prices seem good anytime as long as it is not over a holiday. I think the best values are on Royal Caribbean because you get excellent service and food, for a fair price. Carnival is usually the cheapest though. Also the Norwegian Sun out of New Orleans has some really good prices right now. Don't go on the Norwegian out of Houston, though. I have heard bad things about the ship being old. Always choose a ship under four or five years old. It feels more luxurious in general.
I just noticed you wanted to go out of Florida. Call cruise brothers and they can help you as I have never done a 3-4 night cruise. BUT, I would definitely choose Royal Caribbean because they maintain their ships really well and most of the ships that do short trips are the older ones. Hope this helps!

September starts hurricane season in the Caribbean. But its also an awesome time to travel there because the weather is warm and the cruises are cheap. Royal Caribbean has a cruise that leaves Port Canaveral, FL for 3 days and its like $200 a person. Just make sure you get cruise care insurance just in case there is a hurricane. It's usually like $40-$50 for a short cruise.

All of the cruise lines offer early booking discounts. So don't wait until 3 or 4 months before you want to go to try booking a cruise. Also, you can look at the way prices vary each week by just going to the cruise line web sites (some listed below) and looking at the schedule for each ship and itinerary. Most cruise lines list cruises for 2006 and 2007, and some even 2008. So first determine where you want to go, I.e. Bermuda, Caribbean, and then look at when the fare is the lowest.
Also, if you register, with your email address, at cruise line web sites they will send you email specials.
I cruise all the time and get specials from Royal Caribbean, NCL, and Princess every week.

You should get online and go to a cruise website to find out. They have instant pop-ups on cheap flights.com so maybe the cruise site will have the same. Or just call .a cruiseline. Iasked when the best time to travelbeing the cheapest and they told me during the fall. Maybe it is the same for all source of traveling.

We went in April to Nassau on a 4 night cruise from Port Canaveral and had a great time. You can check prices directly from Royal Caribean at the link below.

Cheapest cruise is from September to the end of November.
Kids are in school and it will not be very crowded like in the summer.

Ive just booked one for November for the first time.
Ive just realised it will be spending a good deal of the time in the Bay of Biscay. Tactical error on my part I suspect.
