I am an unbeliever and I have to say you are wrong: many believers also show up to say something nice about others, whatever their beliefs/non-beliefs are.

Do not generalise :-) - and let's not focus on the touchiest believers AND unbelievers.

i'm an atheist who substitute into raised Catholic. i think of it would be quite beside the point (and disrespectful to the Catholic faith) to baptize your toddler merely by using fact it extremely is 'custom'. area of the ceremony is to confirm your very own settlement with Catholic ideals, and to vow to strengthen the youngster as a Catholic. it extremely is a ceremony of religion, regulated via the church. you would be mendacity via partaking. i do no longer choose a god, e book, or record to tell ME that it extremely is incorrect. "Christmas", on the different hand, all began as a Pagan trip, and is now frequently secular. there is not any 'good' way or commandment to celebrate it. It does no longer belong to every person faith. it could and is properly known surely with none connection with Jesus by any potential, as in basic terms a iciness competition of kinfolk, feasting, and goodwill, which at the instant are not unique to faith. i do no longer think of there is any problem with doing that. you additionally can assemble with kinfolk to whom it potential something completely different and merely comply with disagree with reference to the main significant factors, for the sake of the youngsters.

Well those without religious view points are less judgmental for one thing. Religions often teach that certain things about people are wrong and evil so those with a religion are more judgmental then those without one.

That was a great question!

Maybe all that religious dogma is bringing them down?

Most religions consider their beliefs and views the only 'right way', which is funny when you think about it bcuz they can't all be right about everything!
