I bought an Advance SP off of ebay, and when the Gameboy arrived I thought it was working ok but when I plug it in to charge it, the light comes on and then goes out. It won't charge. I know it's not the battery, because it's new and I charged the battery fine by putting it in my other SP. Is there anyway to fix the charging on the ebay SP so I don't have to keep switching the batteries into the functioning one to charge? Thanks.

I can't get ebay involved, the person so carefully said "i have described this item to the best of my ability and it is sold as is" so they will claim they did not know. I didn't know the SP could not charge if the cable worked, so I didn't think to ask that about it since my cable does work.
