I have a boyfriend that lives 4 hours away from me we barely see each other and communicate through the fone every day its bin almost a yr since we met and have stuck through on and off how ever right now it seems better then ever but i dont know what to do to stregnthen our realtionship and i dont want to loose him .....whats the best advice..?

I don't think distance is your problem. I've had three relationships that were over 1000 miles and none of them worked out, but the problem wasn't distance. The problem was me. I wasn't willing to do what I needed to do to make it work. If your boyfriend isn't committed, then you should focus on that. If he is committed, then relax.
If you start to fear that things are not going well, my advice - and lots of people will argue with me, but I've been dating a long time - is to start making other friends and doing other things. Keep it up with your boyfriend, but don't depend on him entirely for your entertainment. You'll both be better off for it.
Above all, don't compromise your own standards. You know what is right. Don't let anyone influence you to do otherwise.

I know what you are saying. I live in phoenix AZ and my EX lives in Bismark North Dakota. It was to much for me not being able to have someone there to hold and share free time with. Yes the phone gave some comfort but not everything. Not to mention we were in a Commited but Open relationship. We both promised from the begining to keep each other informed if we were with someone. Well I informed her of the two I was with but had no curtisy to let me know of the 5 she was with. I am not a jelous person so don't get me wrong but my long distance did not go so well.

Depends on your age and your job. If you are under 20 or in college, See other people. If he can move closer to you due to a job, great. But to move just to be with another person that you're not marrying, forget it.

Try to visit on every vacation u get. spend time with him while you there and make sure he knows you love him very much. BE ROMANTIC
