Sorry if this is a stupid question, i am not a car person, but i am looking for a very gas economic car. I was looking at some VW, and the Jetta TDI seems to get about 40 or more mpg. The only problem that i was noticing was that the ones that i was looking at were manual. Are all Jetta TDI's Manual, or are their some Automatic as well?? If they are all manual, is there another VW that gets about the same gas mileage as this one?? Thanks!!

They all come with manuals...If you don't want to learn manual then check out the Yaris.

You should be able to find an automatic TDI. Ask the dealer. Not only are the TDIs great on fuel, but you can run them on BioDiesel which is not only better for the environment, but usually cheaper than regular diesel(depending on where you live).

i'd purchase the Forrester. I paintings at a vw/su dealership in service, and there are too many remembers and issues on the vws. Hondas are good and what no longer, yet they merely dont stress a similar as a subaru. Forrester is AWD so u cant hate the texture even as u stress it. Its roomy and they are basic to very last a lengthy time period as long as you retain up with matinenance. The CRV also has that vast blind spot interior the nook, which I hate even as driving and getting out of parking.

As much as I hate the Ford Focus, I would rather see anyone steered away from a VW at all costs. We have had a lot of them in our family, and each and every one has been junk. Original Beetle and Karman Giha, Rabbit Diesel, Golf, Jetta. They are not safe in bad weather. They are expensive to fix and break as much as anything else, they are cramped for anyone at 6 ft or more. (= no bf) . I have always called them volkstrash. This is not a popular opinion so a lot will disagree, but we have actually owned and used them and hated them. Jetta spark plug wires every 20 thou miles $80 and more Focus $20 every 35 thou miles
and on and on in price comparisons.
