That is not an issue since 1962

If Iran does something, it won't be from Cuba

To answer your question, assuming a regular "nuke" were dropped on Cuba, yes, the fallout would kill a lot of people in places such as Florida, and anywhere within 150 miles, assuming strong winds don't disperse the radiation.

Inside a ring of 100 miles, about 60-80% of people will die. It gets better as you are farther away, and after about 400 miles only 20% will die from radiation sickness.

These numbers are approximate, based on old material I read both online, and in the USN.

Watch the hurricane tracks and that will tell you which way the upper and mid-level winds go. Florida, Georgia, Alabama, all the Gulf coast states and their neighbors as well as the entire eastern seaboard would be eradicated. To even ask a question like that is totally asinine. Hell, we can do the job with conventional weapons. Heh heh heh

Nevada test grounds are closer to las Vegas and we did 125 above ground nuclear tests there in '50s and '60s . so we poisoned ourselves. Iran has stated it wants to produce electricity not warheads.sure keep an eye on them but this big who-ha from bush is just a diversion. Iran has oil ,bush wants to steal theirs too.

it would depend on the winds, and if it was an airblast or ground blast, and the size of the nuke.
i did a paper in school years and years ago about nuclear war, and with the winds in the USA. the only place really safe from fallout is Salt Lake City UT. did the mormons know something we didn't??????

The fallout would travel up the gulf coast states and eastern seaboard states...sorry, it'll travel north along the Atlantic air currents, eventually spreading the world over....

Sorry not buying the Cuba/Iran connection just like I did not buy the Iraq 911 connection. "the only thing we have to fear is fear itself."
