Don't tell me he did this accidentally it was totally premeditated and planned he even provided himself a cop out "I was quoting someone else" Whats his game????
Catholics; lets have none of your denial. Its not been "taken out of context", the quote you always re-regurgitate when you don't like the logical conclusion.
I know you recognize that I speak truth as I asked this question earlier and it was reported! A Catholics natural desire to censor anything that disagrees with them and suppress all alternative views never ceases to amaze me!

The Pope likes pissing people off. Last year he said if you are not Catholic, you are going to hell.
Six years ago the last Pope gave a speech on Gay Pride Day in Rome. He said gays and lesbians will go to hell. THEN he went to a prison later on the SAME DAY in the north of Rome and BLESSED the prisoners. Rapists, murderers, thieves...they were all there.

Makes you think huh?

Subject Interesting reponse from ABC
Body: AN ABC MESSAGE YOU HAVE TO READ
If more of us took a stand maybe we could have some decent TV programs. -- Jim Nugent is a coach in Childress, Texas.

Jim writes:

My name is Jim Neugent. I wrote to ABC (on-line) concerning a program called "THE PRACTICE." In last nights episode, one of the lawyer's mothers decided she is gay and wanted her son to go to court and help her get a marriage license so she could marry her 'partner.' ! I sent the following letter to ABC yesterday and really did not expect a reply, but I did get one.

My original message was:

ABC is obsessed (or should I say abscessed) ! with the subject of homosexuality. I will no longer watch any of your attempts to convince the world that homosexuality is OK. THE PRACTICE can be a fairly good show, but last night's program was so typical of your agenda. You picked the 'dufus' of the office to be the one who was against the idea of his mother being gay and made him look like a whiner because he had convictions. This type of mentality calls people like me a "gay basher." Read the first chapter of Romans (that's in the Bible) and see what the apostle Paul had to say about it.... He, God and Jesus were all 'gay bashers'. What if she'd fallen in love with her cocker spaniel? Is that an alternative lifestyle? (By the way, the Bible speaks against that, too.)

Here is ABC's reply from the ABC on-line webmaster:

How about getting your nose out of the Bible (which is ONLY a book of stories compiled by MANY different writers hundreds of years ago) and read the declaration of independence (what our nation is built on), where it says "All Men are Created equal," and try treating them that way for a change! Or better yet, try thinking for yourself and stop using an archaic book of stories as your lame crutch for your existence. You are in minority in this country and your boycott will not affect us or our freedom of statement.

Jim Neugent's second response to ABC:

Thanks for your reply. From your harsh reply, evidently I hit a nerve. I will share it with all with whom I come in contact. Hopefully, the Arkansas Democrat Newspaper will include it in one of their columns and I will be praying for you.

for a crutch? Please resend this to everyone in your mailbox.

I wonder if the person from ABC considered how many people would read this e-mail!

This is one we should definitely pass on.

Get off the soapbox woman. The pope was only emphacising a valid and very true point that a lot of people already know, and those that didnt certainly do now..The great muslim prophet was a child molester into young girls. The world has a right to know things like that, instead of it being buried away in books most people cant read.Good on the pope

it is taken out of context (just to set things strate am not a christian) the vatican never says stuff for the fun
thousands of christian are killed dayly in africa by muslim - something had to be done and/or said
there are more and more fanatic in the world and he went to the muslim but also america protestant saying something like: religon cannot be without reson. obviously going for the "lets tell children that the earth was built in 7 days that the homo erectus never existed"

so yes he went for the muslim because of the african killings but he also went for all the fanatics including the crazy part o the american protestant

I don't think that it is a big deal. The muslims are just toooo touchy about anything and don't want to clean up their own act.. Half of them are already terrorists and the others won't distance themselves from the bad ones..
Leave the Pope alone, he did ok..

Wasn't he quoting something that was written in the 1400's? that was written by someone else? Maybe in a week or 2 it just might blow over. Things that were written or said that many years ago naturaly can't be taken back. They are simply history, but your right it shouldn't have been rehashed.

what, does the truth not hold any meaning in Islam, or does it just hurt? This is the exerpt you are talking about
"The emperor comes to speak about the issue of jihad, holy war," the pope said. "He said, I quote, “Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached.”
It is as true today as it was 500 years ago.

I'm not a Catholic, but I just think that Muslim's are just too thin skinned! Seems as though the take everything to heart. Good golly, take it easy! Laugh at the idiot, don't hang him in effigy! Are you a Muslim or just someone who likes to start crap?

2006-09-15 18:04:51 · answer #8 · answered by Anonymous · 0 0

It is evident that you have not actually read what he said. His purpose was not actually to irritate anyone, but to condemn an earlier anti-Muslim document. Please do some research before posing questions of this sort.

Because Muslims are purposely at fault for global terrorism.
