It would be nice to think that Yahoo!Answers attracted most of the worst racist Klan-scum from around the US and the rest of the people in the US were decent, honest, tolerant people. Unfortunately that is NOT the case and the ignorant racist Klan-scum we hear from here are actually the rule rather than the exception!
So sad for a country that once seemed to have so much potential..........
Anyway, I have had a simply wonderful "Dia de Independencia!" so far, and its still going on! The whole immediate family (about 30 of us) have been rolling since yesterday! Great food! Great Mariachis! Great beer (you gringos don't make that stuff)! Great tequila! Great friends! Great parties!
Sorry to burst the bubble of some of you racist Klan-scum, but we are drinking really expensive tequila ($40 a bottle, Tres Generaciones) down here in Mexico. (We leave the cheap stuff for you white trailer-park trash up north of the border.....)
¡Viva México! ¡Viva La Virgin de Guadalupe! ¡Mueran los Gachupines y los Gringos! ¡Viva México! ¡Viva!

Let us not forget to celebrate these memorable holidays as well:
Bagel Day (February 7)
Blame Someone Else Day (first Friday the 13th of the year)
Bloomsday (16 June based on James Joyce's novel Ulysses)
Buy Nothing Day (The Day After Thanksgiving)
Evoloterra (20 July celebrates the first manned Moon Landing)
Festivus (23 December)
Flying Spaghetti Monsterism Holy Day (every Friday)
Friendship Day (first Sunday in August)
International Cannabis Day (20 April)
International Dadaism Month (4 February, 1 April, 28 March, 15 July, 2 August, 7 August, 16 August, 26 August, 18 September, 22 September, 1 October, 17 October, 26 October)
International Talk Like a Pirate Day (19 September)
Mole Day (23 October)
National-throw-a-cookie day (March 16th) (celebrated by throwing cookies)
No Pants Day (first Friday of May)
Pi Approximation Day (22 July)
Pi Day (14 March)
Porsche Day (11 September)
Star Wars Day (4 May) ("May the Fourth be with you")
Tax Freedom Day
Towel Day (25 May) (a tribute to the late Douglas Adams)
Winter-een-mas (The season last all of January, however the actual holiday itself is 25 January - 31 January)
X-Day (5 July in the Church of the SubGenius)
Mexican holidays mean even less to me than they do. When they respect the citizens of the USA, the laws of the USA, the anthem of the USA and pledge allegience to the FLAG of the USA, THEN I 'might' respect their holidays but why 'their' Independence Day in the USA?? Their "independence" from what? I could not care less.

I dont know, I might go to the local Mexican restaurant and celebrate...they have it all ready and there will be a group playing. I am not so closed-minded as to be upset that they are celebrating their independance day here.
