I'm just a freshman but I want an early start so I wont have to stress out my family members over having to pay for college I know I have the capability to suceed but just not the exact financial needs help also I've checked out sites like college board and cfnc .com but they dont seem to be any help

Yes, there are a few of them around. However, it is an idea to start doing a scholarship search now to see what is available out there. Take note of them on paper and book mark them in your browser. Also get involved in community and school activities and keep being involved in them. It can also help you get scholarships and grants. Good grades are important to getting merrit based scholarships involved with the colleges and universities.

Three sources for scholarship info:
1. Your high school counselor
2. scholarships.com
3. Check out the websites of your preferred colleges/universities for a listing of scholarships that they provide. Some even offer grants, though either of these may have specific requirements.
Apply for financial aid only after your grants and scholarships have been applied.

Scholarships are easy to get: first, accept that for fact and walk with it. Secondly, use the websites above to find scholarships you qualify to apply for.

Once you have a list of scholarships, I have a book that explains how I won them (listed below) ---had 9 in one year!

www.fastweb.com is a great website for scholarships! You put information about you in a profile and they match scholarships with you. They have a big database and are constantly adding new scholarships... check it out!

Yes, scholarships are really that easy to get.If you set your mind to it and study really hard.Just do great in all of your classes.Im talking about A's and B's or 85%+.Did you try asking your school office about financial aid???Ask!
