God always answers our prayers. Sometimes His answer is no, sometimes it's yes. If His answer is no, then we should realize that what we asked for is not good for us. That He has a better way for us to get through that particular time/event in our lives.
Even when His answer is no, I continue to believe in Him. To try to live my life the way He wants me to. To acknowledge that He knows what is best for my life and seek His ways. God bless!

I have encountered this same dilemma in my own life recently, and have learned from others with authority on the subject that God answers our prayers in His ways, not the ways we might be asking for.

Since it is often said by theists that God acts in mysterious ways, He may have already answered your prayers, but not in any visible or easily understood way.

Furthermore, we don't do anything to God, He only does things to us.

You must continue to have faith in Him, as He may be testing that faith by not answering your prayers as quickly as you want.

Whatever you do, DO NOT give up praying.

Keep on believing. Sometimes God says NO, just like a parent sometimes has to say no to a child. Many times God has told me no and everything turned out for the best.

Depends on the prayer, are praying to win a jackpot in Vegas or the cure for your cancer. We only seem to pray when we need something and then are dissappointed when we don't get it. Do you really know your prayers go unanswered. I really like the following, author unknown.

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed
he was walking along the beach with the LORD.

Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene he noticed two sets of
footprints in the sand: one belonging
to him, and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
he looked back at the footprints in the sand.

He noticed that many times along the path of
his life there was only one set of footprints.

He also noticed that it happened at the very
lowest and saddest times in his life.

This really bothered him and he
questioned the LORD about it:

"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow
you, you'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most
troublesome times in my life,
there is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why when
I needed you most you would leave me."

The LORD replied:

"My son, my precious child,
I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you."

God is always there to help us. If we pray OUR wants and desires we can't blame the Lord for not giving them to us. No different then parents not giving their children everything they ask for. God is our Father and is much wiser to what we really need.
Allow God to work in your life, and if your prayers aren't being answered then its either not in Gods will or not in Gods timing.

Examine your heart and continue to pray. Trust in the Lord, He has you covered!

God's answer to prayer is yes, no or not yet. However, sin hinders prayer.

I'm glad He hasn't answered some of my prayers!

Dude, you are asking people to blaspheme. That's instant hell-fire. What's wiser: to give a hungry person a cheeseburger or to get them a job at Fuddpucker's? God doesn't have to just give you what you ask for. You need to learn how to get it for yourself. Then you thank God for giving you a learning experience. What else are you going to do? Give God a formal written warning?
That's it...I think I just blasphemed. Nice job.

I realize the answer is no and pray for other ways for God to Provide. "For God will make a way when there seem's to be no way."
