Not to be rude but, how old are you? Why don't you have a car, or a job? 12 miles really isn't far to see someone you love. Also why don't you go to college? Most girls want a successful man, not a broke one

I just can't imagine a life like this. By the time I was 28 I had made my first million - had owned probably 75 to 100 cars - and was already thinking of retirement by 40. Then I look at a couple of my nephews that seem to work their azzes off - still live at home - and can't keep a 5 year old clunker running. What happened over the last 30 years that kids can't get ahead no matter what you do. I feel for you but you already feel that she plans to move on so get ready. Wish I could help.

Its not as bad as it could be. My girl left a month ago to go to school is so. cal and I am up in Nor Cal. We are 400 miles apart. I won't see her for another 5 weeks! So just make time for eachother. Find a time that you can see eachother. It may not be every day or every other day. But once a week is better than what I get now.

Do what I did, I did it like 10 minutes ago actually. Tell her you just want to be friends for now. Stay in contact though, you can always have a good friend. Maybe even more in the future.

talk to her about how you are feeling, but also know that in college she will find who she really is and you shouldn't try to prevent that either. let her grow as much as possible. in the end, if you last, she will be a better, more secure person

You both have to make an effort to be with each other if that's what you both want. But you can't be mad at her for getting an education. She has to do what she has to do.
