"The Whore of Babylon" or the world of false religion will fall when the United Nations is ready, read Rev. 18, when Babylon the Great falls and the Kings and Merchants whom she fornicated with are distraught over her death. She is accused of the death of the "marytyrs" or true believer's she has destroyed and since she can no longer buy or sell, the merchants of the world, from Bible/Holy bookstores to Stained glass suppliers will cry out for her. Also, the rulers of the world from Kings to other rulers who "enjoyed the benefits of her "friendship" will also miss her.
However, this is the beginning of the end, because the last religion to be persecuted will be Gods true believers and it is on account of them that he will "cut his time short" in his return "so that all life on earth might not be lost."
Great Question!!!

It will come to an end when religion accepts the truth that it was all a lie, maybe two or three thousand years from now.

I thought that Religion as a genuine article was gone as soon as they made it a group thing. Anytime you get that many people together trying to agree on an idea you just get confusion and chaos. I am Christian but I stay far, far away from organized religion.

sry to answer a Q with a Q but... Do you think that they will give up something so simple in it's stupidity that you just gave your whole life a meaning, fooled yourself into beliving you're a better person, and now, not like in the Dark Ages, accepts man to evolve on a technological scale and accepts some (nvm the ones that prove religion is a bunch of horse.. poo...)?

Probably never, because no matter how much proof science provides that it's all bunk, they still persevere in their delusions.
And those on the business end of religion have too much to lose.

There will be no end of Christianity, even during Revelations there will be people saved and not take the mark of the beast.
