...specifically the philosophy section, when I came across questions regarding the meaning of life.

Lo and behold, what do I find in the responses? Christians, saying how the purpose of life is to worship God....

The question is this: If Christians constantly ask us why we atheists are here in the R & S section, responding to things we "know nothing about", then may I ask why Christians are in the philosophy sections, spreading their religious dogma, rather than educated answers?????????

Im not trying to be mean, Im just wondering - how much can religiousity be related to philosophy? Id think they are mutaully exclusive, as religion does not allow for pondering situations, it allows only for dagmatic, regurgitated, learned responses. Philosophy, on the other hand, requires a thinking ability.

What gives?

That's a good point, they want us out, yet they continue to use God in their answers outside of this Category. Freaking Hypocrites...

just for the record the unthinking kind of christian is not the only kind out there.
if any christian tells a athiest that they cant be on a religios site then they are just stupid. i have answered multible questions like this and yelled at christians asking why athiests are on "their" web sight.
the truth is that the bible encorages us to reach out to everyone and i dont get how you can reach out when you alienate yourself.
if you are an athiest and want to go on a christian site then all the power to you. dont listen to the hypocrites we are not all like that

So, being who I am (Christian working in Neuropsychology for umpteen years) I believe a high IQ and a want to surf different areas of topic per se, is not indicative of someone who only might be a philosphy major.......don't ya think? I give answers (advice - if you will) from my heart too, not just my head. If something looks like it needs prayer, I am going to say it. Prayers =) And, on that note, I do not trash others who don't believe what I believe...respect

Too funny. Another thing I find funny is that I would ever agree (on more than one occasion) with someone who calls himself YDonchaBlowMe!

TY for the reminder about that section. It may be like Society & Culture-Lite, but it's probably a better place for those days when I want to bang my head on my desk.

Good story, but I think that we are free to go where we want and God fits into any aspect of life not just in religion..
You are a little confused as to who is the owner of this planet.

What a laugh -- but it is hardly surprising since they are forever cramming their mythical beliefs in other people's faces.

That sounds like a rather ad hoc explanation for your presence here.
