I read somewhere that they were in the cavalry together during the Vietnam War

During the Crusades many Anglo warriors proudly rode their Snaufalugi steeds into battle. The carnage was horrific.

Many Islamic warriors ran in fear of these great beasts. Until they found a deadly defense.

I am of course talking about...Count.

He would creep into the midst of the sleeping knights and Snaufalugi in the middle of the night and suck their blood until they expired, shouting maniacally:

"One dead Crusader....ha ha ha ha! Two dead Crusaders...ha ha ha ha!"

This of course brought the Christian crusade to its knees and forced the long sad trip back to Europe.

Many centuries later these battles were reenacted on Sesame Street with Big Bird reprising the role of the crusaders.

Mr. Snaufalufagus represents the long, proud lineage of his race well.

I'm usually against war but I'd follow Big Bird riding Mr Snaufalufagus into battle in a heartbeat

I feel patriotic just thinking about it

I thought that Big Bird hated war. That must be Oscar the Grouch you're talking about.

Yes, apparently Elmo and Ernie fought for the Viet Cong, and Oscar and Bert fought for the NVA.
