No this is the worst kind of relationship to get into. I went out with a guy because my friends pressure me to, and it turned out that the relationship made me really uncomfortable. And to get out of the relationship i told him i liked his friend. Which made him beat up his best friend, and put me in another uneasy relationship! I know it may seem tempting to even just go out with him for one day but don't do it. It will put a trust block between you and other guys. Just tell him when you are alone that being in a relationship with him would ruin your friendship.

Well, you can go out with him and see if he is kind, interesting and fun. The guy you are interested in, that may be based on his appearance - you don't say if you know him. The guy who likes you, may not be as exciting, but feelings based on mutual respect last longer than the "hots." I have a friend who always says that other people pressuring you to do something is the worst reason to do it.

You can hang out with the guy, doesn't mean you have to date him. Just say you like him as a friend, but not as a bf. Nothing wrong with that. Just don't lead him on and let him think you are hanging out with him cause you want that kind of relationship.

Absolutely not. I would never want a "pity date" from any woman. Your dating life is in your own hands don't let your friends pressure you to date anyone. Real friends will appreciate you for who you are and respect your feelings. My life my motto is "no regrets". Take a chance, go for it. To thine own self be true. When you find him you will know.

It's bad for him and bad for you. Why would you want to mess with that? Don't let your "friends" pressure you into going out with someone you're not interested in.

On some level you're contemplating going out with him incase you end up getting knocked back by the guy you like, grow up, if you don't like a guy, you're not doing him any favours by going out with him,get over yourself!

No. No. No. No. No.
I dated a guy out of pity. We ended up together for 2 miserable years because I didn't know how to break it off with him--because I felt sorry for him.
Don't do it.

Do not listen to your friends. HE will found out later, and people will hate on you. You shouldn't go out with anyone if you don't like them. You are actually not going to be doing good, it will be decieving the person and taking advantage of him.
