A "true" answer would be false, but a "false" answer would be misleading. Atheists don't claim, as the question implies, to be the only persons with tolerance, with understanding in general, or intelligence in general.

for many centuries, being an Atheist substitute right into a dying sentence, so no ask your self they did no longer initiate colleges. or perhaps some did and stayed contained in the Atheist closet. it relatively is been my journey that maximum Atheists are a lot extra "stay and enable stay" than Christians. If we've been attempting to bypass rules banning prayer and attempting to close down church homes, then i'd accept as true with you. because it stands, Christians are continuously attempting to legislate their religious doctrine into regulation. look at that fool Santorum, he think of all rules would desire to be problem to a spiritual try. it extremely is the top of intolerance.

From a non-believer:
:
Atheists are absolutely NOT any more tolerant or understanding than religious folks.
They probably do score a point or two higher "as a whole" on IQ tests, but you deal with individuals not a "whole." So the guy in front of you could be a dummy whether he believes in zero gods, or 2,435 of them.

False! I know religious people and atheists who exhibit all 3 characteristics. I also know some on both sides that have none of these traits.

False. Look at some of the "questions" some of them post here. They are NOT tolerant of Christians, or understanding, and they sometimes lack logic.
Some Christians are that way, too. It's just PEOPLE, it has nothing to do with religion, or lack of.

I have met some pretty stupid and intolerant atheists in my life. Same thing for every faith-based spirituality. I've also met some brilliant thinkers and highly compassionate and tolerant people from all walks of life and all religious and non religious life paths.
Judge the individual - not the group.
