Pakistan's parliament condemned Pope Benedict for making derogatory comments about Islam. Lebanon's top Shiite cleric demanded an apology. The Turkish ruling party likened the Pope to Hitler and Mussolini.
Experts suggest the provocation by the spiritual leader of more than a billion Roman Catholics could leave deep scars. "The declarations from the pope are more dangerous than the cartoons, because they come from the most important Christian authority in the world."
What does Christianity say? Yep, the same old garbage “the Pope’s comments were taken out of context, or that’s not what he meant.”
Even the Bible is full of violence, killing and hatred, yet religious people pop up from under every stone with the same old garbage. “That was the old Bible, or we’ve changed the meaning, or wrong interpretation, or we’ve changed the context, or the quotes are out of context or or or, excuse after excuse.”
When Christianity is bad - why is it always out of context?

I really can't imagine that it was an accident.
Whatever he is the pope is not a plebe.
Furthurmore, as you say as the "Most important Christian authority in the world", don't we expect him to come from a place of love, which whatever anyone wants to say, clearly he did not do that.
As for your last question, PR
Even if there is an apology, the damage has been done. Its too hard to believe that it was an accident or taken out of context. My question is
Why would he do it?

So, I guess he should have given Islam a high-five and tell them to hold their course?
First, these are different religions. That is a point that is glossed over. They're different for a reason. If they were entirely compatible, then they'd be the same religion.
Is an evil man allowed to determine that another man is evil? Hypocrisy is not a preclusion of knowledge.
We know who he was talking to. He was talking about the wacko extremists like Osama. Everyone else just got their panties in a wad. There are obviously different interpretations of Islam, today and in the past, and I can guarantee you there are Muslims (probably a lot of them) that believe that violence in the name of Islam is OK. So, you basically have two groups:
- Muslims that preach peace and got offended.
- Muslims that believe in violence, who are REALLY offended and don't see that they're freaking hypocrites.
I suspect that Osama will give a speech condemning the Pope.

The pope said that the use of violence to promote religion is evil and that Islam has a tendency to do that.
To prove him wrong, Muslims everywhere are going to riot in the streets. As far as I'm concerned, that proves the pope was RIGHT, not wrong.

in my view i think of that's as much as the British electorate to provide up the BNP by ability of not balloting for them and the accountability falls to the media, marketing campaign communities and different events to warn the British human beings of what the BNP is (racist, in certainty fascist) and to spotlight the twisted ideals on the heart of the social gathering. If the BNP wreck the regulation interior the recommend time the police will handle them the comparable as with any people else.

The whole thing reminds me of a MasterCard commercial:
Seeing Muslims the world over running around like enraged little barking Chihuahuas over a silly little comment by the Pope - PRICELESS!
(for everything else there is MasterCard)

Any minimal remark about Islam is blasphemy!
You may be even condemned to death.
But, when Muslims insult our religion or the Pope or Jesus there is no reaction.
Am I crazy?

It is not out of context----read the source yourself.
The Pope was trying to make a name for himself. He certainly isn't a John Paul, and he never will be. Guess he doesn't like that.

YES! Pope did this to provoke Muslims, and he did it. What will follow remain unknown until lives start to be lost. Only God know how many people will die as a result
