7 out of 10 times. I'm approached with the "Are you married ?" or "Your husband is lucky" line. I'm only 15, turning 16 in a matter of days. I'm contantly being mistaken as being a adult. as far as my appearance goes I'm usually dressed in girly flat shoes and fitted clothes ... a normal teen.

I'm constantly ... just about daily, being approached by illegal aged guys, who genuinely think Im in my early 20's. Most guys my age are intimidated (or are plain jerks). Ive been having this issue for quiet a while, and cant seem to find any solution. So can you guys help me out ? any advice ? because this has been going on for a while, its upsetting because i cant seem to find a guy my age to talk to me.

You'll just have to approach the boys that YOU are interested in...

Don't just sit around and wait for the wrong guys to hit on you...
These guys are probably just trying to flatter you so that they can get your goodies... not good...

The boys your age are shy... they will get better... I think all kids go through this... the girls mature faster and have to wait for the boys to catch up....

try a different style haircut, sometimes the way you wear your hair can make you look younger, or theres always an option of wearing a name tag that says "I'm 16 not in my twenties and NOT Married" lol they may get the hint :)
you could also try different makeup styles...
most of all dont let it bother you Im twenty four and most of the time people think Im 20 or younger... Ive even been told I look like a highschool student... its funny because im married with 2 kids but not so funny when you get I.D.'d to buy R-rated movies ...
so I have the same problem you have except in reverse

I would try to take the comments from the older guys in a positive way, that they find you attractive and can't tell how young you are. Enjoy the implied compliment that you look sophisticated and mature. As for finding guys your own age, I guess you will have to take responsibility for approaching guys you are interested in, especially if they are too intimidated to approach you. To that end, I suggest getting involved in things (either in or out of school) that you are interested in that would also attract guys. That way, if you put yourself out there as approachable, accessible and fun, the guys will respond.

Don't hurry into a deep and meaningful relationship even though you are probably emotionally mature enough and are frustrated that boys your age are not. Just have fun while you are young with guys your own age and keep your eye out for the few that are emotionally mature too.

It sucks though because in my situation I am 24 with a 4-year old daughter and many people look at me and say is that your little sister I say no , thats my daughter they say how old are you and I say 24 and there all suprised and say I thought you were 15 you look like a little girl yourself. I try to overcome this and don't worry what people tell you, your beatiful in your own eyes and you are still just a teen don't worry you will overcome this.

It takes some self confidence to approach a beautiful woman whether she is 16 or 46. Take it as flattery and it sounds like you will have to get used to it. AS for the older men - just tell them in no uncertain terms that you are 15 and to please back off. Find a guy you like and engage him in conversation - I am sure he will be happy that you are talking to him and take things from there.

Those guys are probably just perverts who konw your age and are just trying to turn you on or something. Just wait, guys tend to get moe mature when there about 16, somethimes 15. Once they hit that age they usually arent as stupid anymore.

Young lady--
If you are honestly experiencing what you describe, try talking to just about any guy your age and you shouldn't have any problems. And stay away from the creeps, jailbait.

"Are you married ?" or "Your husband is lucky" is a pretty crappy pick up line. They are trying to pick you up. It's a safer way than to actually speak to you in a respectful manner. Women do that to me "Hey How is your wife?" They need a better pick up line.
