I left home this morning at 5 am, spent allday working on site, drove home 50 miles in the rush hour, then had to drive my wife another 40 miles to look at a car, got a takeaway because it was too late to cook, settled down on the sofa to watch a bit of TV, and spent the last 2 hours listening to them make balloon animals.of wich everyone has popped and listened to them argue about why they keep popping, is this normal? do you know how loud making balloon animals is? am i being a grouch?

You sound like a very tolerant man to me, your wife is a lucky lady! But are you sure it wasn't you bursting the balloons! lol.
My day didn't get off to a good start i woke this morning with a streaming cold, set off for work at 8.15am , got a puncture, waited for an hour for the AA to come and fix it (i didn't know where to start), spent the day playing catch up, had two impolite telephone calls who slammed the phone down on me. Then to cap it all off the MD decided to change the board reports at 4.35pm of which i had to retype & make into packages before i set off home. I didn't leave work until 7.30pm and on my usual route home there had been an acident and the the road was blocked so i had to do a 10 mile detour! I finally walked into my house at 8.30pm to the sound of my phone ringing then listened to a friend moaning about her problems for an hour!
I finally setttled down with cheese on toast for tea because i was too hungry to wait for anything to be cooked. Im so tired now i cant be bothered to move to go to bed, but i feel a bit happier now to learn im not alone! At least i didnt have to listen to squeaky popping balloons..i think that would have tipped me over the edge!
Well tomorrow is another day, can't wait to see what it brings...things can only get better ....cant they? Have a good week end!

No you are not being a grouch you had a hard busy and stressful day and all you wanted to do once in is chill out,eat and watch television to switch off and wind down in PIECE AND QUIET! Not to much to ask of people is it? If they had realised that once you had done the later for a while you would have then joined in the activity. I think you needed to tell all concerned that you needed to chill out, relax, eat and then you would join in if you wanted or then they could do what they wanted but just give you that space in the first place.
We work for ourselves and Hubie is out in the field so to speak and very long hours and I am home based and t time that can be a little lonely so when he comes in I used to want to chat, chat chat not only because I did not chat all day but because I missed him and pounced on him as soon as he walked in. All he wanted to do was eat, read paper, switch off the brain and have the remote for TV in his hand. This then caused a few rows however we learnt to compromise once we had a chat about our different days and now he gets his space when he comes in and once he has had that we can then chat. Hope that helps.

you're only being a grouch if you don't think you'll be able to laugh at tonight in at least the next 10 years :)

i be attentive to the form you sense. i'm 15 weeks pregnant and have Hyperemesis. As previous posts have mentioned "morning" disease can happen any time of the day. I do look worse at night on my sturdy days yet on my undesirable days the disease is each and every quarter-hour. If the disease is actual undesirable you will desire to get to the docs and that they might desire to be waiting to prescribe you anti disease drugs to administration the nausea and vomiting. sturdy success and that i desire it passes quickly for you.x
