I would talk to your gynecologist, they can give you some birth control pills that will temporarily delay your period until you get back, or if you already take birth control pills, you can avoid taking the sugar pills and start your next set of pills. I've heard of women doing this to avoid menstruating on their honeymoons.

if you are on the pill, just skip the inactive placebo pills (week 4) and start a new pack. You will not get your period at all, though you might spot a little bit. Your period date will switch (you will get it at the end of the second pack). This works best with monophasic pills, but it can be done with three-phasic.
Same for the ring or the patch- just skip the hormone free week and you will not get a period at all.
If you are not on hormonal birth control, there is no way to make it come earlier or postpone it. Using a tampon is your best bet. Pads are disgusting and uncomfortable to begin with.

Call your ob/gyn and explain the situation. I was due to start my period the week of my honeymoon. My gunecologist put me on the pill for a few weeks and that stopped the bleeding and then i was able to enjoy my wedding. This happens all the time and is not something that you should be ashamed to ask. IF you are already on the pill or other birth control, this is still an option.
Good luck and have fun

I don't know about making it come sooner, but I take my birth control pills for 3 months straight sometimes 4. Then I allow my body to have a period. If you have really bad cramping and such this is so much better. The doctors even feel it may be better for you to have less periods.

If you are on the pill, stop mid cycle, or you could just keep taking them, and don't leave the week in between and you won't have your period until you get back. If you are on tricyclin, skip the first weeks pillsm, and go for the hevy duty ones from themid cycle. If you aren't on the pill, you could try taking a few, then none and it may trigger your cycle to start.

Not unless you are on the pill. You could continue to take the pill when you are suppose to take your sugars during this time and just start your sugars when your vacation is over and get your period then. I have done this for the same reason.

If you take the pill you can skip the unactive pills and keep taking the active ones. This may help you skip your period with some spotting. As far as comming early, I would like to know that also!!

Nope, sorry! It comes at the worst times, doesn't it?! It'll come earlier, later, or on time depending on how your month has been going.
