Why do people have feet obsessions

Well i personaly cannot speak for everyone else around here, but our family was very poor and we could not afford shoes. As a result, we all ran around barefooted from birth. My sisters and I spent so much time barefooted that our feet became battered, blistered and flat. Over the years the blisters and injuries to our feet healed somewhat, but the flatness stayed on. As a matter of fact, the flatness became rather extreme, and our toes became thin and curly like the peel of a banana. We no longer have heels as you know them; just blank spots where the length of our legs turns ninety degrees into our plank like feet. In school they used to call us "flatfoots", "slapslaps", and "flipflops" because of the sound our feet made while walking. Of course, flat feet like ours do not smell nasty the way regular feet do, so we were very blessed in that regard.

So, you can easily imagine the envy we feel when we view the lovely size 5 or size 6 feet of a teenage girl. That is why all of the people in our family are obsessed with really nice little feet.
