Why do I care? Because every question that deals with anything Catholic gets 5 million answers saying something like "Christians are not Catholics" or "Catholics are not Christians"...

I have been constantly on the defensive on this and it hasn't done any good, so I thought I'd try offensive strategies for once.

I was raised not just Protestant, but Southern Baptist, a denomination not famous for its openness toward Catholics.

But I've no doubt Catholics are Christian.

And I grew up in New Orleans, at a time when the city was more heavily Catholic than it is now, and was introduced to a lot of Catholic traditions.

I also have been influenced by such Catholic writers as Walker Percy, Flannery O'Connor, and Graham Greene.

So yes I am supportative of Catholics. That doesn't mean I agree with everything but I have no knee jerk anti-catholicism.

I believe the catholics have the right heart. Most want to serve God and believe in Jesus Christ. Unfortunatley, most have been not told what they need to do to go to heaven. Most believe that just by going to church and being a good catholic, they will make it. Unfortunalely, this is not true. However, I have a lot of catholic friends, and many are saved. I also applaud the Pope for saying what he did about the muslims. I hope he doesn't recant.

Exactly what do you mean?
Being protestant does not imply in any way that I have a thing with Catholics, or that I have to show support, or that I agree or disagree with them or their religious beliefs.

Maybe if you rephrased your question in a clearer way you would get more answers. Give it another try.

Just FYI an election will not change the truth of God. Neither will the unsubstantiated lies and propaganda produced by Jack Chick

The question is to vague if I say yes, then you will say that I agree to all the things are wrong with what they are doing, and I say no, then you will say that I am divisive and do not love my brother. There is no real purpose to your question here so there can not be any real purpose to any answer we give

I support their right to believe as they do. I think that it is incorrect to place as much emphasis on the traditions of the church (man made doctrine) as they do the Word of God. Any time you take away any portion of the authority and sacrificial payment of Christ you are putting yourself out of his fellowship.
