Who in the local mosque should I contact? As in a person considering converting to Catholism would talk with a Priest, or if Christian, the Minister or Reverend.

"La Ilaha Ila Allah, Muhammad Dur Rasool Allah"
"There is no God but Allah and Muhammad is the Messenger of God"

In Islam you have direct relation with God, but you may take advise of other knowledgeable Muslims in your local Islamic center. Adopting Islam is very easy, you just have to declare the testimony that you bear witness that there are no Gods but Allah, and Mohammad PBUH is his servant and messenger. You take a shower as a symbol that you wash away all previous sins and you just starts a new clean life. Then learn how to perform prayers and the other five pillars of Islam.

Just say from ur deep heart "La Ellah Ella Allah..Mohammed Rasol Allah" or
"No god but allah Mohemmed is the prophet of allah" it has the same meaning
and then go to the near mosque and ask for the emam and he'll guide u and he'll answer all ur questions

I do not know. What I do know is, the Bible is the word of God (Jesus Christ). I also know that salvation (saved from your sins) is completely the work of the Lord. I also know that if you are one that God has determined to save, it will occur in the environment of hearing the word of God (the Bible). The Bible tells us, "So then, faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God." Faith is a synonym for the Lord Jesus Christ. So then, Christ cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. The Lord tells us in Matthew 22:14, "For many are called, but few are chosen." You see God has chosen certain individuals to be saved before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:3-5). The "elect" as God calls them, are rebellious vile sinners just as the rest of mankind is. These elect ones are not better or more beautiful, or more intelligent than the rest of humanity. However, the Lord in His sovereignity determined to save them for Himself out of the mass of humanity. ALL of mankind are sinners and deserve eternal damnation but the Lord Jesus took the punishment of the elect on Himself so that they could enter into heaven. That is the marvellous grace and kindness of God!
Because God is no respector of persons, the possibility of salvation is available to you also. However, if God is going to save you, it will happen in the environment of hearing the word of God--the Bible. That is why I tell people to read the Bible and cry out to God for mercy.
