If I were God himself?

That'd be the easiest decision I ever made. I'd come down from heaven, prove my existence, then tell everyone that if there used to be souls, there are none now, and to live to the best of their ability, and then make myself no longer exist. The children have grown up, it's time for the parent to step aside. Maybe the kids'll stumble a bit, but that's all part of learning. The parent would only be in the way of seeing how great and wonderful the universe truly is.

The way it's set up, God saves everyone in need of saving who ASKS to be saved. That would work for me too. If I as God saved everybody, there would be people out there complaining because they didn't want to be saved.

I can not think of any more tormentable and uncontrollable state of mind for any person to be in than which you just ascribed. Before asking something as down right silly as that, I must bring to your notice that since we human beings have a great many limitations on our part as creations, we simply can not imagine what we would do, including saving some people instead of others, if indeed we were what you said we were to imagine ourselfves. I would suggest rather to let go of this blasphemy, and try to have an understanding about what religion really is.

I have better things to do than monitor and control the lives of a bunch of insignificant microbes infesting a mote in the universe. I certainly don't need to be bothered with deciding their fate, as though that were significant! These bugs need to get over themselves - they just think I chose them for some reason!

Correction: If I did try to save anyone, sevenshot and his ilk wouldn't be among them.

I don't know what the Hell are you talking about; It is only the Devil will choose who will be save because he wants something in return. God have sent his only Son Jesus to save us from our sin, so we are all forgiven and everyone will be save.

Makes you wonder why God only saves those who accept Jesus as their savior, doesn't it, if in fact he could do what ever he wanted. Seems like a pretty bad way to run a planet.
