There's this boy that just started talking to me on msn, i don't know him but he added me when he was in the same convo as me and my friend. He started talking to me and asked if i wanted to meet up. Do u think this is a bad idea?

Yes... make him talk to you online for a while... then be SURE to meet him in a public place. And it wouldn't hurt to take the friend with you the first time. If he's a nice guy, he'll understand.

Okay:
#1 If you are under 18 you sure as H E L L better not be going to meet a stranger from the web cuz you never know what kinda freak it's going to be.
#2 If you are over 18, you still should NEVER meet someone who just pops into a freakin convo like that. Ever here of date-rape or how about that girl who was killed in NY by the bouncer at the bar she was at.

Hell, yes. You don't know this guy, and that method is exactly how a lot of sexual predators find victims online.
If you decide on meeting this guy -- which I don't recommend -- insist on a public place when there will be plenty of people around. I suggest a nicer part of town where police response times are shorter. And take backup. Not your friend, who is probably another girl and no better in a fight than you are. Take somebody who can do some damage in the event that this "boy" turns out to be a 6'5", 220 lb. 40-year-old man.

##&&##. Has your friend met this person in real life?? There are alot of ppl out there using the instant messengers to find easy targets. Being that they asked to meet you after speaking to you for just a few minutes, I would be very very worried. This is usually a tactic of very bad ppl. Predators do exist on the internet. They seem harmless when you are chatting with them. But when they get you alone in Real life, the tables change rapidly! Remember just because someone says they are Jack Honestly doesn't mean you can trust them. Be cautious. Take it slow. If they really want to meet you they will understand. It is not uncommon for 40 somethings to get to chatting with teens and telling them what they want to hear. Sometimes they even pretend to be teens themselves!

I'd check him out first and talk for a while and get to know him before meeting, meet in a public place and don't do anything u don't wanna, tell some one when/if u go to meet him. If ur unsure be safe and don't meet i guess, the fact that u need to ask shows yr uncertain, i would stay in at home for a while.

Not neccesarily, but I wouldn't meet him right away. Just talk to him on the messenger and see how it goes. If he doesn't seem creepy after several months of talking to him, then meet him for lunch or plan some other daytime event and bring along a friend. If the guy doesn't talk to you anymore because you wont meet him right away then good ridance to the psycho stalker.

Yes, the last time I met someone i really didn't know he turned out to be a stalker and tried to ruin my life. Wait awhile, months . And then some times you still don't know.... People can be so crazy and creepy.... You can never be too careful.
