Hello, I am having an issue with Windows Media Player 10, well... 2 issues:

One, when you dbl click to play a song, it will play the wrong song (yet it says it's playing the song you clicked). It does this about half the time, sometimes it plays the right song.

Two, songs will just disappear out of the library and I'm not sure why. Usually after dbl clicking them, and then they don't play or they play the song I was previously playing.

I would totally appreciate any help you can give. Pleaasee help :) This is at work and they don't allow any other media players.

P.S. I have checked the options and don't see anything weird. It just started doing this today, worked fine yesterday. I have restarted media player and my computer several times.

You know, I have the same version and I've noticed songs disappear too! I've been wondering why this is. I do a search on my computer and they are totally gone. I can't figure this out. As for playing the wrong song, I am not sure but maybe it's on random playing mode or something like that?

Try checking the file they are under, because your WMP (windows media player) is set to automatically look in a certain folder when u are trying to play a song in your library so if you dont have that music file in the right folder, WMP wouldnt be able to play it, two ways of changing this would be to set the folder that WMP looks under to a different one adn move all ur songs to that, or make sure that all songs are located under the main folder that WMP is looking in, as long as you're still in this folder, you can add as many sub-folders and sub-sub-folders as you want. meaning typically you'll want to have WMP looking in a folder that contains any other smaller music folder. Hope this helps.
