i am on chex systems- where could i go to open an account?

This happaned a few years ago. I am working now, being responsible and it would be so much easier to cash my checks if i had an account! does anyone know where i can open an account?/ US BANK? CREDIT UNION?? please

The most honest thing to do is to pay chex systems then you can get an account anywhere. Or, you can call around to credit unions, not all of them use chex systems. If you don't mind having direct depsoit try onling banking Wamu and Citibank don't check. I use online banking and I save more money this way because I can't run to the bank everyday and withdraw.

The best way is to get yourself cleared off of chexsystems. Most banks are linked into the system and will not open an account for anyone on there unless you know someone and they are willing to override it for you. If you have paid back what you owed to the bank that put you on chexsystems and have proof of it that may help you as well. I really suggest getting that taken care because if you don't it will only cause more confusion and hassle in the future. There will be a form that you can fill out to have your self removed and you can get that from the bank that put you on.

Go to a bank and have them call the Chex System and find out how much you owe, and get their address. Pay Chex, and ask them to notify that bank when it's been cleared. Once it's cleared that bank will offer you an account.

compass i think or go to 2nd check checking i know in texas woodforest national bank has that or the banks inside walmart?????/

usbank has "second chance checking" they will accept your business even if you're on chex systems.
