SKYY vodka!! I can drink it straight, it has absolutely no bite. I think it's like 20 dollars a bottle, opposed to Popov vodka which is like 8 bucks a bottle and tastes like nail polish remover. strawberry fanta is also an amazing chaser for nasty vodka.

Finlandia. Try it, you'll be surprised how good it is. Skyy -- not that great. Grey Goose has a lot of fans, but it's not a great vodka either.
Other very good vodkas are Belvedere and Ketel One.

I know an old guy that buys the cheapest 'plain wrap' kind and swears by it. (He swears a lot anyway but 'that's a different question') He asks if the kind that's $30 a bottle is three times better than his?
