They can have some lameness problems from not having proper nutrition.
Their bones can grow to fast and not be dense enough and the bones can grow faster than the tendons but that is mostly seen in big dogs not smaller breeds.
It does come from not having proper nutirion and to much protein in large breeds.
At two a Lasa would be full grown. He may be suffering fomr the effects on not having proper nutrition when he was young.

A Llapso WILL NOT be having growth sperts @ 2 years of age. Only giant breeds would be still growing at that age.
Dogs will have growth sperts as puppy's regardless of the food they are on.

I've heard poor nutrition does cause developmental problems in young dogs. If the'yre getting far too many calories but none of the nutrition/protein/vitamins the body is growing fast but not producing quality bones or muscles. This si why it's bad to get adult Alpo and feed it to your puppy in a huge bowl, not controlling his intake or his nutrition.

Breeding also plays a part in a weak musculoskeletal system.

Not the actual food but when a child used to open the dog biscuits on the way back from the shops and share them with the neighbourhood strays and I do know a woman who fell out with her hubby and cooked him a pie with dogs food in it!
